KARACHI: Korangi Town Chairman Muhammad Naeem Sheikh, accompanied by Vice Chairman Zareen Awan, distributed Leave Preparatory to Retirement (LPR) cheques to retired employees during a ceremony held at his office.
Addressing the event, the chairman said the dedication and services of retired employees towards the development of the institution and public service would always be remembered. He said providing employees with their legal retirement benefits on time was one of the town administration’s foremost responsibilities and that every possible effort was being made to ensure prompt payments. He added that the timely settlement of retirement dues was an important part of employee welfare in public institutions.
Vice Chairman Zareen Awan paid tribute to the retired employees for their long, honest and valuable service. He said employees were the most valuable asset of any institution and that protecting their dignity, rights and welfare remained a fundamental responsibility of the administration.
The retired employees thanked Chairman Muhammad Naeem Sheikh and Vice Chairman Zareen Awan for ensuring the payment of their retirement benefits. They said receiving their dues had provided them with financial relief and peace of mind. They also expressed hope that the present administration would continue to work with the same commitment towards the welfare of employees and the resolution of their concerns.
The ceremony concluded in a cordial atmosphere, with participants extending their best wishes to the retired employees and offering prayers for their good health, prosperity and a successful future.
