KARACHI: Rais Khan, Founder and President of Marta Women Football Club, met with Tom Burge, Deputy Head of Mission at the British Deputy High Commission in Karachi, to discuss the FIFA World Cup during the Sri Lankan cultural event Kanya held at the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi.
The meeting focused on football, the growing popularity of the FIFA World Cup and opportunities to promote the sport through international cooperation and cultural engagement.
The discussion took place on the sidelines of the cultural event, which brought together diplomats, community representatives and guests to celebrate Sri Lankan culture while encouraging dialogue and stronger people-to-people ties.
