KARACHI: The Public Complaint Cell at the Chief Minister House in Karachi is continuing to address citizens’ grievances through what the Sindh government describes as a prompt and transparent complaint resolution system.
The initiative is operating on the directives of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, with members of the provincial cabinet regularly receiving complaints from residents and coordinating with relevant authorities to facilitate their resolution.
As part of the programme, Adviser to the Chief Minister on Inter-Provincial Coordination and the Cooperative Department, Sardar Ehsan ur Rehman Mazari, visited the Public Complaint Cell on Wednesday, where he personally heard complaints received by telephone from citizens across Sindh.
Following a review of the cases, Mazari directed the relevant government departments, district administrations and other authorities to take immediate action and ensure the timely resolution of public issues.
According to the adviser, most complaints received by the cell relate to irrigation, municipal services, water supply, drainage, education, healthcare, electricity, revenue matters and other essential public services.
He said the government maintains regular coordination with departmental secretaries, deputy commissioners, assistant commissioners and other officials to ensure complaints are addressed without unnecessary delay and citizens receive prompt relief.
Mazari said the Sindh government remains committed to improving transparency, efficiency and accountability in public service delivery, adding that the Public Complaint Cell has become an important link between the government and the public by providing a platform for citizens to raise their concerns and seek redress.
