WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump said the United States was prepared to launch a major military operation against Iran if ongoing diplomatic efforts failed, warning that negotiations could not continue indefinitely without results.
Speaking to US media, Trump said diplomacy remained the preferred option but stressed that Washington was ready to take military action if talks did not lead to progress. He said the United States had to move quickly with negotiations and would not allow the process to continue without a clear outcome.

Meanwhile, Iran strongly criticized the United States over its position, accusing Washington of becoming involved in a prolonged conflict after being influenced by Israel. Iranian officials said the United States was facing increasing challenges as a result of its actions and warned that Washington would eventually face consequences.
