ISLAMABAD: Pakistan strongly condemned the drone attacks carried out against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Monday, describing the incidents as a serious threat to regional peace and stability while reaffirming its full support for the Kingdom’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In a statement, Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said the attacks were provocative and had the potential to further heighten tensions in an already fragile regional security environment. He said such actions undermined efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability across the Middle East and called for restraint to prevent further escalation.
The spokesperson said Pakistan stood in complete solidarity with the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the difficult period. He reaffirmed Islamabad’s unwavering support for the Kingdom’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and its continued peace and prosperity. He said the close relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia was rooted in mutual trust, shared values and longstanding cooperation, which had remained strong over the years.
Tahir Andrabi said Pakistan remained deeply committed to promoting peace, dialogue and regional stability. He added that the country had consistently supported diplomatic efforts to resolve conflicts through peaceful means and believed that constructive engagement remained the most effective way to address regional challenges.
He said Pakistan had taken all possible steps to support initiatives aimed at achieving lasting peace, security and stability in the region and would continue to play a constructive role in international and regional efforts designed to reduce tensions. He reiterated that Islamabad remained committed to working with friendly countries and the wider international community to encourage dialogue and prevent further instability.
