Police identified the arrested suspects as Ghulam Abbas, son of Ghulam Shabbir, and Aakash, son of Ghulam Shabbir.
During initial questioning, investigators alleged that the suspects confessed to stealing motorcycles from markets, mosques and other public places, particularly in the Gulshan-e-Hadeed area. These are police allegations and remain subject to investigation.
Police said two alleged accomplices, identified as Azam, son of Ghulam Akbar, and Mujeeb, whose father’s name was not immediately available, managed to escape during the operation. Efforts are under way to trace and arrest them.

A separate case has also been registered against the two arrested suspects at Steel Town Police Station, while further investigation has been handed over to the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC).
According to police, CCTV footage allegedly showing the suspects involved in motorcycle thefts has also been obtained. Investigators further claimed that the suspects have previous criminal records involving motorcycle theft, robbery, illegal weapons and other offences registered at different police stations.
Authorities said investigations were continuing to identify and arrest other alleged members of the gang and recover additional stolen motorcycles.
