SUKKUR: Muhammad Umar Farooq Bullo assumed charge as the Regional Ombudsman Khairpur, pledging to ensure speedy and transparent resolution of public complaints.
Upon assuming office, Bullo reviewed the performance and working of the Regional Ombudsman Office and directed the staff to ensure prompt disposal of complaints received from the public.
Speaking on the occasion, he said providing speedy and free justice to people at their doorstep remained the top priority of the Ombudsman institution.
He added that all complaints lodged by citizens against government departments would be addressed on merit and without any discrimination.
Bullo further said the Regional Ombudsman Office would remain open to the public and every effort would be made to resolve grievances related to maladministration in a transparent manner.
Officers and staff of the Regional Ombudsman Office Khairpur welcomed the newly appointed Regional Ombudsman upon his arrival and briefed him on the affairs and functioning of the office.
