SHIKARPUR: A rally was held at Shaikh Ayaz University, Shikarpur, to commemorate Mark-e-Haq and celebrate Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day, with faculty members and administrative staff taking part in a show of patriotic spirit.
Participants carried national flags and reaffirmed their commitment to Pakistan’s sovereignty, unity, integrity and prosperity.
Speaking at the event, Dr Zulfiqar Ali Rajper, Dr Ghulam Muhammad Mangnejo, Dr Nadir Hussain Bhayo and other faculty members said Mark-e-Haq served as a reminder of the courage, unity and determination required to safeguard the country’s sovereignty and national dignity.
They said Independence Day was not only a celebration but also an opportunity to remember the sacrifices of previous generations and renew commitment to the principles of unity, faith and discipline.
The speakers stressed the role of educational institutions in promoting patriotism, national awareness, peace, tolerance and a sense of responsibility among young people.
