KARACHI: The MHD Group has launched Small Industrial Towers One, Two and Three in Karachi’s SITE Area, offering small and medium-sized businesses a range of commercial and industrial facilities under one roof.
The project was inaugurated by MHD Group chairman Faizan Dadi at a ceremony attended by business leaders, industrialists, traders and representatives from different sectors.
Dadi said the project was aimed at providing small and medium-sized entrepreneurs with an organised and secure environment where they could start, relocate or expand their businesses.
According to the project management, units and showrooms are available for both rent and purchase, with facilities including parking, security and fire-safety systems.
The management said monthly rents for different units and showrooms range from around Rs25,000 to Rs40,000, allowing smaller businesses to select space according to their budgets.
The project brings showrooms, factories, small industrial units and other business facilities together at a single location, which the management said could help entrepreneurs reduce operating costs and run their businesses more efficiently.
Dadi said the main objective was to provide small and medium-sized businesses with a platform where they could start operations at relatively lower costs and gradually expand.
He said the promotion of small industries and cottage businesses could increase commercial activity, create employment opportunities and contribute to Karachi’s economy.
Adnan Tumbi, owner of Mark Property, said the project offered small and medium-sized entrepreneurs an opportunity to establish businesses in the SITE Area, with units starting at around Rs25,000 a month and showrooms available for up to Rs40,000.
Tumbi said the project aimed to support small businesses, promote cottage industries and create opportunities for young people and aspiring entrepreneurs.
He said the availability of parking, security, fire safety and other basic facilities would allow businesses with different requirements to select suitable units within the complex.
Speakers at the event said small businesses in Karachi faced challenges including high rents, security concerns and limited access to basic facilities. They described the project as a potential practical solution for some of these challenges.
Business representatives welcomed the initiative, saying it could help expand opportunities for the city’s small and medium-sized businesses, encourage local employment and support industrial and commercial activity.
