ISLAMABAD: nPrime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting with the Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, to review ongoing initiatives being carried out under the government’s youth-focused program.
The meeting took place as the government continued to assess projects aimed at creating greater opportunities for young people in education, skills development, employment and entrepreneurship. The discussions focused on the progress of the projects being implemented under the Prime Minister’s Youth Program and the steps needed to ensure their effective delivery.
Rana Mashhood briefed the prime minister on the ongoing work under the program. The two sides discussed the implementation of various initiatives and reviewed matters linked to their progress. The meeting also provided an opportunity to assess how the program could continue to support young people through practical opportunities and government-backed schemes.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stressed the importance of youth development as part of the government’s wider efforts to strengthen human capital. He said programs aimed at young people needed to produce tangible benefits and reach those who required support.
The prime minister also emphasized the need for effective implementation and close monitoring of projects. He directed the relevant authorities to maintain momentum and ensure that approved initiatives were carried out in a timely manner. The government has increasingly placed youth employment, education and skills development among its policy priorities.
Its youth program has included initiatives designed to provide young people with financial assistance, training and opportunities to pursue education and business activities. The meeting also discussed other matters relating to the program and its ongoing projects. Additional Attorney General Rana Asadullah Khan was also present.
The officials agreed to continue coordination between the relevant departments to ensure that the projects progressed according to their intended objectives. The prime minister was also briefed on the latest developments and implementation status of the initiatives under the program.
