COLOMBO: The Pakistan Navy ship PNS Saif, docked in Colombo for the International Fleet Review 2025, provided humanitarian assistance to areas of Sri Lanka devastated by a recent sea storm and heavy rains.
According to the military’s media wing, ISPR, the storm caused widespread destruction across several regions of the island nation. PNS Saif delivered essential relief supplies to Sri Lankan authorities to support affected communities.
The aid included food, dry rations, first aid kits, medicines, and other critical items. ISPR added that the Pakistan Navy would continue providing assistance to the most affected areas in the coming days.
Officials said the timely relief operation reflected Pakistan Navy’s commitment to regional stability and solidarity with friendly countries in times of need.
