KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Chairman Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui emphasized that the party’s real strength stemmed not from official positions or external resources but from the dedication, energy, and resolve of its workers.

Dr Khalid Maqbool made the remarks during a key training session for the party’s Labor Division held at the MQM-P headquarters in Bahadurabad on Friday, which was attended by senior leaders including Dr Farooq Sattar. The meeting focused on organizational improvement, public engagement, and strategic planning for the party’s future.

Dr Siddiqui highlighted the resilience and commitment of MQM-P members over the years, recalling periods when the party lacked representation in the National Assembly but continued to exert considerable influence through its grassroots network. “Over the years, MQM has remained powerful without relying on external aid or charity. Real strength comes from the dedication and spirit of our workers,” he said, praising the division’s officials for their consistent efforts.

Dr Farooq Sattar urged party officials to maintain focus on their responsibilities, avoiding distractions that could weaken organizational cohesion. He stressed that active participation at all levels was essential to strengthen the party’s structure and advance its mission of public service.

Senior leaders including Syed Aminul Haq, Arshad Ansari, and members of the Central Organizing and Coordination Committee were also present, contributing to discussions on enhancing the party’s outreach and improving coordination across its divisions. The session reflected MQM-P’s ongoing effort to consolidate its internal framework while preparing for future political and social challenges.

Observers said the emphasis on worker commitment and grassroots mobilization underlined MQM-P’s strategy of relying on organizational strength rather than external influence or resources. The training session was widely seen as a demonstration of the party’s continued focus on building cohesion, maintaining discipline, and reinforcing the role of its members in shaping policy and engaging with the public.
