NEW DEHLI: Following Pakistan’s airspace restrictions, Indian airline IndiGo is reporting significant financial losses. According to Turkish broadcaster TRT, the airline has cancelled 500 flights, with mismanagement and poor planning pushing it into a severe crisis.
The four-day disruption has paralyzed IndiGo’s network, with 104 flights cancelled in Mumbai, 102 in Bengaluru, and 92 in Hyderabad. Government data cited by TRT shows the airline’s on-time performance has dropped to just 8.5%.
IndiGo had previously accounted for over 60% of domestic air operations in India, making the cancellations particularly disruptive.
