SUKKUR: Sindh Minister for Works and Services and Prisons, Haji Ali Hassan Zardari, convened an open kachehri at Sachal Auditorium in Khairpur, where more than 100 citizens presented applications and grievances. The minister instructed officials from Works and Services, the DIG Prisons, Deputy Commissioner, SSP Khairpur, Chairman of the Municipal Committee, and other departments to address all complaints on a priority basis.

During the session, Khan Muhammad, patron of the Khairpur Press Club, raised concerns regarding the Session Court’s compound wall, building, public health, electrical, and road works, noting that while most work had been completed, the remaining Rs20 million had not been disbursed for the past 12 years.

Minister Zardari immediately directed Secretary Muhammad Nawaz Sohoo to conduct a transparent inquiry into the matter. Speaking to the media at Haji Nawab Khan Wassan House, Ali Hassan Zardari said that following directives from PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, he had been holding open katcharies in Khairpur to meet citizens directly and ensure rapid resolution of their issues.

Nawab Wassan added that newly posted Deputy Commissioner and SSP had been instructed to remain responsive to public concerns. On constitutional amendments, the minister asserted: “Whether it is the 27th amendment or the 28th, Sindh is our mother, and we will never allow it to be separated. President Asif Ali Zardari is an elected president and, God willing, he will complete his term.”
