DADU: As part of the global “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence” campaign, Jamshoro District Police organized an awareness session focused on the protection of women and girls. The event, held on Monday under the theme “Break Barriers, Create a Safe Environment,” was chaired by SSP Jamshoro Zafar Siddique Chhangha.

The session brought together government officials, police officers, teachers, social activists, and women from the community. Speakers highlighted the challenges women and young girls face, emphasizing legal rights, harassment prevention, and the creation of safe spaces. Participants were briefed on emergency helplines, complaint procedures, and immediate safety measures.

SSP Zafar Siddique Chhangha said the protection of women remains a top priority for the police and vowed that similar initiatives would continue to promote awareness and social change. The session concluded with the distribution of certificates to active participants, who praised the program for empowering women and reinforcing community safety.
