KARACHI: Vice President of Pakistan People’s Party Korangi District and Chairman of Korangi Town Mohammad Naeem Sheikh attended a Human Rights Day awareness program as a special guest, alongside UC-2 Chairman Qari Israr.
The event was organized under the leadership of parliamentary representative Tanveer Abbasi and hosted by The Redient Education System (TRES) as part of its ongoing educational and social initiatives. The program aimed to raise awareness about human rights, children’s rights, justice, and social equality.
A large number of local residents participated, including community leaders, social activists, teachers, parents, and students of all ages. Attendees engaged in speeches, panel discussions, consultation sessions, performances, and poster activities centered on the theme of Human Rights Day.
Speaking at the event, Korangi Town Chairman Mohammad Naeem Sheikh said:
“Protecting human rights is a fundamental requirement of a civilized society. Our goal is to ensure that every citizen in Korangi Town receives equal rights, facilities, and protection.
Raising awareness among the youth is our top priority so they can build a just and progressive society in the future.” Parliamentary representative Tanveer Abbasi praised the successful organization of the program and noted that awareness about human rights is essential for social development.
She also committed to continuing such welfare-focused initiatives in Korangi Town. UC-2 Chairman Qari Israr lauded the school administration and students for their efforts, stating that educating the younger generation about fundamental human rights is key to creating a strong and responsible society.
