ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has decided at both the civilian and military levels that it will not send troops to Palestine, senior government sources have said, dismissing what they described as an Israeli-backed attempt to implicate Islamabad in the conflict.
Highly placed sources told Metro Morning that Pakistan has clearly conveyed its position to the United States and its allies, stating that it will remain disengaged until a genuine peace process is in place.
According to the sources, Pakistan has made it explicit to friendly countries that its armed forces cannot, under any circumstances, be part of an operation against Palestinians — even if such a mission is framed as the disarmament of Hamas. Islamabad has ruled out participation in any strategy involving the confiscation of weapons or efforts to forcibly demilitarize the group.
The sources said Pakistan’s civil and military leadership is united and unequivocal on the issue, stressing that the country will not take part in any initiative that could be interpreted through an Israeli or American lens, regardless of the consequences.
Officials said the stance reflects Pakistan’s long-standing position on Palestine and its refusal to be drawn into actions that could be seen as undermining the Palestinian cause. Despite severe pressure from ‘friendly’ countries somehow could benefit Pakistan in future but a firm stance shown by the authorities.
It is pertinent to mention that Israel and India have an old nexus to orchestrate conspiracy against Pakistan and rightly so Pakistani authorities have rejected any involvement in action against Hamas.
Pakistan’s decision has shut Israel-India propaganda machine making noise against Islamic brotherhood and Pakistan’s unequivocal support for Palestine and its cause against the oppressing Israel.
