SUKKUR: Khairpur police successfully dismantled a key element of the city’s rising motorcycle theft problem with the arrest of Sajjad, widely known as Vicky Rahoojo, a notorious ringleader of a local snatching gang.
The operation led to the recovery of six motorcycles that had been reported stolen, signaling a significant breakthrough in ongoing efforts to tackle organized street crime. According to Abdul Ghaffar Phulpoto, the Station House Officer at Shah Hussain Police Station, the arrest was made following confidential intelligence that traced the suspect’s movements.
Sajjad had been wanted in multiple cases, and authorities confirmed that investigations were continuing to track down other members of his network. The recovery of the stolen motorcycles, coupled with the apprehension of the gang leader, marks a notable success in curbing the spate of motorcycle thefts that have caused concern among local residents.

Superintendent of Police Khairpur, Dr. Samiullah Soomro, praised the prompt and effective action by the SHO and his team, awarding them certificates of commendation in recognition of their diligence and professional execution of the operation.
The police reiterated their commitment to cracking down on criminal networks and reassured citizens that such targeted interventions would continue to enhance public safety. Residents welcomed the arrest, noting that proactive policing and intelligence-led operations were crucial to restoring confidence on the city’s streets.
