SUKKUR: Police in Sukkur have successfully rescued two kidnapped men during an ongoing targeted operation against dacoits along the Sindh-Punjab border.
DIG Sukkur Range, Captain (R) Faisal Abdullah Chachar, said that the operation, now in its fifth day, led to the safe recovery of the hostages, identified as Riaz and Umar Arain, residents of Punjab who had been abducted from Rahim Yar Khan. Both were recovered during a police encounter with the dacoits.
DIG Chachar acknowledged the support of SSPs from Ghotki, Kashmore, and DPO Rajanpur, as well as the Sindh Rangers, for their cooperation in ensuring the successful rescue. He confirmed that the targeted operation against criminal dacoit groups will continue until all threats are neutralized and law and order are fully restored in the area.
