DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Police in Dera Ismail Khan have reviewed security arrangements at churches across the city ahead of Christmas celebrations, as authorities step up measures to ensure the safety of worshippers.
The inspections were carried out by the SP City Division, Ali Hamza Butt, accompanied by the DSP Security, Siddiq Ullah Khan, on the directives of the district police officer, officials said.
During the visits, officers checked the deployment of police personnel, assessed entry and exit points and reviewed overall security measures at the churches. Police staff on duty were instructed to remain alert, maintain close surveillance of suspicious individuals and activities, and ensure effective patrolling in surrounding areas.
The officers stressed that personnel must perform their duties with diligence and professionalism, adding that all necessary steps should be taken to provide a safe and peaceful environment for worshippers during the Christmas festivities.
