DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The parliamentary leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and the party’s district ameer in Dera Ismail Khan, Maulana Lutfur Rehman, has met members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council in Shorkot.
The meeting was held at Jamia Maarif-ul-Sharia, where a delegation of senior lawyers, including Ahmed Ali Khan, an advocate of the supreme court, and Sardar Hashmat Nawaz Khan Sadozai, an advocate of the high court, were present.
During the gathering, participants congratulated Naveed Akhtar, an advocate of the supreme court, on his election as a member of the Pakistan Bar Council. Other attendees included Jamal Abdul Nasir, Malik Bilal Chadhar and Taha Ali Khan, all advocates of the high court.
Maulana Lutfur Rehman thanked the Bar Council members for what he described as their support for Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam during the Pakistan Bar Council elections, and praised the role of the legal community in democratic processes.
