ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a high-level meeting on Monday to review the consular services provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, underscoring the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance accessibility and efficiency for the public.
During the session, the Ministry’s Consular Affairs team presented a detailed briefing on the key features and smooth functioning of Attestation and Apostille services, highlighting the steps taken to ensure reliable and streamlined operations for citizens. Senator Dar reviewed these measures closely and emphasized that transparent and efficient attestation processes form the cornerstone of the ministry’s mission, reflecting a commitment to accountability and public trust.
The deputy prime minister further stressed the need to facilitate citizens in a timely manner while keeping costs to a minimum, urging officials to adopt measures that reduce bureaucratic hurdles and improve the overall experience of consular services. He highlighted that the government aims to ensure these essential services are not only accessible but also delivered efficiently, reinforcing the role of the ministry in serving the public effectively.
The meeting was attended by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who were tasked with implementing further improvements and maintaining high standards in consular operations. Observers noted that the session reflects the administration’s broader focus on modernizing service delivery, promoting transparency, and strengthening citizen engagement at both domestic and overseas missions.
