KARACHI: Two suspected robbers were arrested in injured condition following a police encounter near Backside Korangi Number 5 Hospital on 24 December 2025, Korangi Police said.
According to SSP Korangi, the police signalled a suspicious motorcycle to stop, but the riders opened fire on the police party. Officers returned fire, resulting in the apprehension of the two suspects. The arrested men were identified as Hammad, son of Ibrahim, and Subhan, son of Amir Saboor.
Recovered from the suspects were two 30-bore pistols with rounds, PKR 16,000 in cash, four mobile phones, various cards, and a stolen motorcycle. Both injured suspects were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
SSP Korangi stated that the criminal records of the arrested individuals are currently under investigation.
