DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Station Commander Brigadier Muhammad Abu Bakar attended the prize distribution ceremony for the annual sports competitions at Darul Uloom Usmania in Maryali, where he encouraged students and celebrated their achievements in volleyball, tug-of-war, and race competitions.

The event highlighted the seminary’s efforts to promote both religious and contemporary education alongside extracurricular activities. Upon arrival, Brigadier Abu Bakar was warmly received by the seminary’s administrator, Qari Muhammad Umair Farooqi, faculty members, and students, who greeted him with rose petals and flower bouquets.

Qari Umair Farooqi briefed the commander on the institution’s educational initiatives, emphasizing the seminary’s commitment to nurturing both academic knowledge and moral values. During the ceremony, Brigadier Abu Bakar distributed prizes to the winners and addressed the students, urging them to recognize their role as the future of the nation.

“Whenever I visit a religious seminary, I feel immense happiness, because you are the ones who will take the message of Islam to the world,” he said. He encouraged students to recite the Holy Quran not only in Arabic but also in their own language to fully grasp its teachings, emphasizing that understanding is key to benefiting from the divine message.

The Station Commander also highlighted the dangers of internal conflict, referencing the fitna of Khawarij, and stressed that taking up arms against one’s own country was unacceptable. “This passion for fighting should be directed against enemies, not our own state. We must learn from the struggles of Muslims elsewhere and avoid division,” he said.

Brigadier Abu Bakar lauded the dedication of teachers and the seminary administration, acknowledging their role in shaping students’ character and knowledge. The event concluded with chants of “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Pak Army Zindabad,” followed by prayers for peace, the supremacy of Islam, and the safety of security forces, reflecting a blend of patriotic and spiritual fervor.
