SUKKUR: The 10th meeting of the Syndicate of the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology and Skill Development (BBS-UTECH), Khairpur, was held on Friday at the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat.
The meeting began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Dr Aftab Ahmed Soomro, followed by the introduction of participants.
In his opening remarks, the Vice Chancellor welcomed all members of the Syndicate and expressed gratitude for their participation. He also thanked several distinguished guests, including Madam Tanzela Ume Habiba, MPA, Syed Asad Ali Shah, Dr Noman Abid, nominee of the Sindh Higher Education Commission, Dr Muneer Ahmed Mirjat, nominee of the Higher Education Commission Islamabad, Sohail Anwar Baloch, Special Secretary of the Universities and Boards Department, Government of Sindh, Liaquat Ali Shah, Additional Advocate General of the Sindh High Court, Dr Ghulam Jaffer Soomro, and other faculty and administrative members.
The Syndicate reviewed the agenda in detail and discussed key academic and administrative matters of the university. After thorough deliberation, it approved important decisions based on the recommendations of the Selection Board, including matters related to appointments and promotions of officers.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of commitment to strengthening institutional governance, promoting merit and enhancing academic and professional standards at the university.
