KARACHI: A delegation from Crescent Art Gallery met Pakistan’s newly appointed High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Tipu Usman, to discuss promoting Pakistani art and culture through international exhibitions and cultural initiatives.

The delegation, led by Chairman Nasir Javed and Chief Executive Officer Sameer Nasir, congratulated Usman on his appointment and briefed him on the gallery’s work in organizing art exhibitions and cultural events in Pakistan and abroad.
During the meeting, the delegation highlighted the role of visual arts in strengthening cultural ties between nations and showcasing Pakistan’s artistic heritage to international audiences.
Usman said art and culture represent an important aspect of a country’s soft diplomacy and reaffirmed his commitment to promoting Pakistani artists and cultural initiatives in the United Kingdom.
He assured the delegation that the Pakistan High Commission would support efforts to introduce Pakistani artists to wider international audiences, facilitate art exhibitions and encourage cultural exchanges.
Both sides agreed on the need to expand international art exhibitions and cultural programs in different countries to further promote Pakistan’s artistic heritage and strengthen the country’s global image.
During the meeting, Usman also congratulated Sameer Nasir on his recent marriage and wished him success and happiness in the future.
