HANGU: Deputy Commissioner Orakzai Yousuf Ali held a consultative jirga with tribal elders from Upper Ismailzai and Central tehsils to discuss law and order, development projects and public welfare initiatives aimed at improving living conditions across the district.
The meeting was attended by a representative delegation of tribal elders and community leaders, who highlighted local issues, the need for improved basic services and the concerns of residents.
Participants held detailed discussions on maintaining peace, accelerating ongoing and proposed development projects, expanding public welfare programmes and addressing other key issues affecting the district. The jirga also reviewed the progress of various development schemes and discussed future priorities for the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Yousuf Ali appreciated the constructive suggestions put forward by the tribal elders and said the district administration was utilising all available resources to resolve public issues, strengthen peace and stability and ensure the timely completion of development projects.
He reaffirmed that improving public services, ensuring transparent governance and speeding up development activities remained the administration’s top priorities.
The deputy commissioner said lasting peace and sustainable development could only be achieved through mutual trust, close cooperation and regular consultation between the district administration and tribal communities.
He assured participants that effective and timely measures would continue to be taken on all matters concerning public welfare and development, adding that the administration would maintain close coordination with tribal elders to address local challenges and promote long-term prosperity in the district.
The tribal elders welcomed the administration’s engagement and expressed their willingness to continue working with district authorities to support peace, development and the welfare of local communities.
