KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah invited American investors to explore business opportunities in the province, highlighting potential investment areas including energy, technology, infrastructure, tourism, health and agriculture.
The chief minister held a meeting with a high-level American business delegation, attended by representatives of the Special Investment Facilitation Council, provincial ministers, senior government officials, Karachi Mayor and officials from Sindh’s investment and public-private partnership institutions.
During the meeting, Murad Ali Shah said Sindh offered significant opportunities for foreign investment and was positioned as a gateway connecting regional and global markets. He said the provincial government was committed to creating a transparent, stable and business-friendly environment to facilitate investors and encourage long-term partnerships.
The chief minister said Sindh had vast potential in emerging sectors and assured the delegation that the government would provide necessary support to investors through streamlined procedures and institutional cooperation. He stressed that greater collaboration with international businesses could help boost economic activity, create employment opportunities and strengthen key sectors of the provincial economy.
Members of the American delegation appreciated the Sindh government’s investor-friendly approach and showed interest in several fields, including renewable energy, artificial intelligence, data centres, financial technology and healthcare.
The visiting business representatives expressed willingness to continue discussions with the provincial authorities to explore investment opportunities in different sectors. They said the province’s growing market potential and policy support offered promising prospects for future cooperation.
To further facilitate American investors, the Sindh chief minister established a dedicated desk within the Investment Department. The special facility will assist investors by providing guidance, coordination and support for potential projects in the province.
