QUETTA: A high-level meeting chaired by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti strongly condemned the attack on unarmed civilians in Quetta, expressing grief and solidarity with the families of the martyrs.
During the meeting, the Inspector General of Balochistan Police presented an initial report on the incident, officials said.
Mohsin Naqvi said the federal government stands with the Balochistan government in this difficult time and pledged that the sacrifices of the martyrs would always be remembered.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti thanked the interior minister for supporting Balochistan in every challenging situation. He said that terrorists linked to “Fitna-e-Hindustan” would be brought to justice and added that the government would not abandon the families of the victims.
Authorities said further investigations were underway and security measures were being reviewed in the province following the attack.
