KARACHI: Police investigation teams in Korangi arrested five suspects in separate operations targeting a range of criminal offences, according to a statement issued on Tuesday.
In the first operation, investigators from Korangi Industrial Area Police arrested Javed Hussain in connection with a robbery case registered under FIR No. 968/26. Police said further investigation is under way.
In a separate case, the same investigation team arrested Hafeez Ur Rehman within an hour of a rape case being registered under FIR No. 981/26. The suspect was taken into custody shortly after the complaint was lodged, police said.
Meanwhile, investigators from Korangi Police arrested Fida Hussain in connection with a criminal intimidation case registered under FIR No. 368/26.
In another operation, police arrested Aziz in a theft case registered under FIR No. 370/26. Officers said they recovered stolen property worth an estimated Rs200,000 to Rs250,000 from the suspect.
Separately, investigators from Korangi Industrial Area Police arrested Shahzaib for his alleged involvement in a violent assault and trespass case registered under FIR No. 974/26. The case includes charges related to rioting, unlawful assembly, house trespass, assault and criminal intimidation.
