DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Gomal University and Qurtuba University of Science and Information Technology have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening academic, research and institutional collaboration between the two universities.
The agreement was signed during a visit by Gomal University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Naimatullah Babar to the Qurtuba University campus in Dera Ismail Khan. The initiative was facilitated through the Offices of Research, Innovation and Commercialisation (ORIC) of both institutions.
The signing ceremony was attended by Qurtuba University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khair-ul-Zaman, Gomal University Director ORIC Dr Muzammal Ahmad Khan and the Deputy Director ORIC of Qurtuba University.
Under the agreement, the two universities will work together on joint research projects, exchange academic and research resources, strengthen cooperation in teaching and administration, organise joint academic activities for faculty members and students, and expand institutional linkages.
The partnership is expected to promote research, innovation, academic excellence and greater cooperation in higher education while creating opportunities for knowledge sharing between the two institutions.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof Dr Naimatullah Babar said close collaboration between universities was essential for improving the quality of education, advancing research and supporting national development.
He expressed confidence that the agreement would open new opportunities for faculty members, researchers and students, while making a meaningful contribution to the advancement of higher education and research in the region.
