KARACHI: The governor of Sindh, Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi, met the managing director of Sui Southern Gas Company, Muhammad Amin Rajput, in Karachi on 28 April and called for uninterrupted gas supply to domestic consumers while stressing that continuous supply to industrial zones was essential.
The governor said domestic users must be provided gas without disruption under all circumstances, while ensuring that industries also received a stable supply. He directed that effective and strict measures be taken to curb gas theft and that a coordinated system be put in place to resolve public complaints promptly.
He further said upgrading the gas infrastructure would improve supply and help address low pressure issues across the system.
