SUKKUR: Independence Day celebrations at The Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology and Skill Development, Khairpur Mirs, gained momentum with a vibrant program combining patriotism, cultural expression and a renewed emphasis on quality education.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Rasool Bux Mahar chaired the event, which featured student performances and activities reflecting the spirit of Independence Day.
Dr Mahar, along with civil society members and Pro-Vice Chancellor of MUET SZAB Campus Khairpur Mirs Dr Khanji Harijan, visited technology, IT and computer models prepared by students.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Mahar congratulated students, teachers and the university community on Independence Day and said August 14 was an opportunity to renew the commitment to Pakistan’s progress, unity and prosperity.
Dr Mahar urged teachers to renew their commitment to improving educational standards and focusing on quality, saying sustainable national progress was not possible without a strong education system.
