KARACHI: An exclusive exhibition showcasing the economic and commercial potential of Qazvin, a province in Iran, is set to open in Karachi this week, organizers said.

The event, organized by the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture of Qazvin in collaboration with the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry, is being coordinated with the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi.

Scheduled to run from 12 to 14 December at the KATI office, the exhibition aims to highlight Qazvin’s industrial and commercial strengths while promoting bilateral trade and provincial-level diplomacy between Iran and Pakistan.

According to a press release from the Iranian consulate, the initiative seeks to facilitate greater economic engagement by offering a platform for Pakistani and Iranian business communities to connect directly.

A diverse range of products will be on display, spanning sectors such as construction materials, agricultural industries, fertilizers and pesticides, steel, detergents, cosmetics and health supplies, petroleum products, and food items.

Organizers emphasized that the exhibition is particularly targeted at businessmen and traders, with a series of B2B meetings scheduled to encourage direct commercial linkages and partnerships. Interested participants have been invited to register in advance through www.xpandelevate.com.

Officials said the exhibition not only provides an opportunity to explore trade opportunities but also reflects a growing focus on provincial diplomacy, where subnational regions seek to develop independent economic ties.

Observers noted that showcasing Qazvin’s commercial capabilities could help diversify Pakistan-Iran trade relations, encouraging investment and collaboration in sectors that have traditionally received less attention. By facilitating direct engagement between producers and traders, the event aims to translate economic potential into tangible business outcomes.
