KARACHI: An administrative round was held at the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre in Karachi to review healthcare services and improve patient care facilities.
The visit was conducted under the supervision of Executive Director Professor Khalid Sher, who inspected different wards and assessed the quality of treatment being provided to patients.
During the visit, Professor Halima Yasmin briefed the Executive Director on the department’s performance and administrative matters. The round was also attended by several senior doctors, including Dr Muhammad Suleman, Dr Yahya Khan Tunio, Dr Maimoona Rehman, Dr Fareena Azeem, Dr Saadia Musa and Dr Saddam Hussain, along with nursing in-charges and other hospital officials.
Officials said the Executive Director directed staff to ensure there were no shortcomings in patient care and treatment. He also issued immediate instructions to improve cleanliness, strengthen security arrangements and ensure staff attendance across the hospital.
Discussions were also held on the need to provide modern medical equipment and upgraded facilities in the gynecology outpatient department and neonatal intensive care unit.
The administration reaffirmed its commitment to providing healthcare services in line with international standards at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
