KARACHI: The English paper for Class 10 was leaked on social media before the exam in Karachi, casting fresh doubt on the integrity of ongoing matriculation examinations.
The incident has intensified concerns over transparency despite official assurances.
Examinations for Classes 9 and 10 are currently being conducted under the Board of Secondary Education Karachi. However, claims by authorities regarding fair and transparent conduct have come under scrutiny.
According to reports, the English paper was circulated online prior to the scheduled exam time.
Officials from the board maintained that Section 144 had been imposed around examination centres to prevent malpractice and unauthorised gatherings.
The latest leak follows similar incidents in recent days, with the Class 9 Physics paper and, earlier, the Biology paper also reported to have been leaked around 30 minutes before the exams.
The matric examinations in Karachi began on April 10.
