KARACH: A suspected thief has died after shooting himself inside a travel agency office on Khalid Bin Waleed Road, near Tariq Road in Karachi, police said.
According to police officials, the incident occurred late at night when an unidentified man entered the office of a travel agency and was later spotted by the owner through CCTV cameras. The owner alerted police via the emergency helpline 15.
Police said that upon arrival of the officers, the suspect locked himself inside a washroom and shot himself. He died on the spot before medical assistance could be provided.
The body was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for legal formalities. Police said efforts are underway to identify the deceased and determine the exact circumstances leading to the incident.
Further investigation is ongoing.
