KARACHI: A 20-year-old man has died after consuming a toxic substance at a residence in Surjani Town, Karachi, police said.
According to officials, the incident took place in Sector 4-D of Surjani Town, where the young man, identified as Umar, was found in critical condition after ingesting a poisonous material.
Police said the victim was immediately shifted to hospital, but he could not survive. His body has been moved for medico-legal formalities.
Authorities have begun an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and whether the substance was consumed intentionally or accidentally.
