KHAIRPUR: Deputy Commissioner Altaf Ahmed Chachar has directed officials to complete all preparations for the upcoming polio booster campaign, stressing that every eligible child must be reached during the drive.
Chairing a meeting at the DC Office’s Sachal Sarmast Darbar Hall, Chachar reviewed arrangements for the campaign, which will run from 6 to 13 August 2026. Officials briefed the meeting on preparations, missed children, field challenges and measures to address operational issues.
The meeting was informed that 122,874 children aged between five and 10 years in 12 union councils will receive a polio booster dose during the campaign, while 115,502 children under the age of five will be administered oral polio vaccine.
Health officials said the campaign would be carried out by 12 union council medical officers, 44 area in-charges and 47 mobilisation teams, adding that all field teams had already completed the required training.
