KHAIRPUR: The Khairpur administration has reviewed preparations for Independence Day celebrations on August 14, with Additional Deputy Commissioner-II Abdul Hakim Dharejo directing government departments to complete all arrangements well ahead of scheduled events.
An important meeting was held at Sachal Sarmast Hall at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office to finalize arrangements for celebrations across the district.
Dharejo said Independence Day would be observed with national spirit, enthusiasm and due respect. The main ceremony will be held at Naz Higher Secondary School, Khairpur, at 8am on August 14.
He directed the school headmistress, Apa Huzooran Sahto, to prepare students for national tableaux, speeches, milli naghmas and other activities and competitions, while ensuring their active participation in the program.
Assistant Commissioner Khairpur Umama Solangi was asked to coordinate with Mukhtiarkars and the Revenue Department to ensure the national flag is hoisted at all government buildings across the city.
