KARACHI: The grand finale of the annual inter-school declamation contest was held at the historic Quaid-e-Azam House Museum, drawing enthusiastic participation from schools across Karachi. The event, organised by the Board of Management, Jinnah Society, and KCFR, saw 34 schools compete over two days, with ten schools reaching the finale after a rigorous elimination process.

The finalists included The City Intermediate College, DHACSS Phase-VIII, The Mama Parsi School, Habib Girls School, Aga Khan School Morning, Graceful Grammar Higher Secondary School Campus 1, New-Day School, Ida Rieu Blind & Deaf School, BVS Parsi School, and Al-Murtaza School. The finale was judged by journalist Ghazi Sallahuddin, IVS founder Noorjehan Belgrami, and Jinnah Foundation founder Naseem Merchant.
First prize was awarded to Syeda Fatima Zehra of The Mama Parsi School, second went to Raween Abid of Aga Khan School Morning, and third to Tousif Ahmed of Ida Rieu Blind & Deaf School. Winners received trophies and grand prizes in recognition of their outstanding performances.
The competition, originally conceived by the Jinnah Society, has been successfully conducted for over two decades. Following the transfer of Quaid-e-Azam House Museum to the Sindh Government, a Board of Management was formed, including representatives from Jinnah Society, KCFR, philanthropists, and government officials, to oversee the museum and its educational programs.
The contest is part of a broader effort to engage Pakistan’s youth with the vision, principles, and ideals of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, instilling historical knowledge and inspiring a sense of nation-building among students. Through events like this, organizers aim to encourage young Pakistanis to contribute to the country’s peace, prosperity, and progress, reflecting the aspirations of both Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal.
