MIRPURKHAS: A significant development has emerged in the case of a 20-year-old married woman who was allegedly murdered and secretly buried in Mirpurkhas. Police said the main suspect has been arrested and, on his identification, the pistol used in the killing has been recovered and a case registered.
According to police officials, the suspect also pointed out the burial site of the victim. Authorities have submitted a written request to the court seeking permission for exhumation of the body.
The First Information Report also names the victim’s parents as co-accused, alleging their involvement in the crime.
Police said the woman was shot dead on April 22 and buried quietly in an apparent attempt to conceal the murder. Further investigation is under way to determine the full circumstances and motive behind the incident.
