DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Wedding gift packages were distributed among the families of 12 underprivileged brides under a social welfare initiative supported by donors and organised by the Khidmat Health Relief Foundation Dera, officials said.
According to details, a mass wedding ceremony is scheduled to be held on 24 April 2026 at Green Marriage Hall under the foundation’s initiative, with preparations currently under way.
As part of the arrangements, essential items for household setup were provided, including bed sets, sofa sets, bed sheets, blankets, prayer mats, clothing, makeup kits, shoes, jewellery and room decoration items.
The beneficiaries included deserving girls from Dera Ismail Khan, Lakki Marwat and Tank, who received the wedding gift packages.
Organisers said additional household essentials, including washing machines, irons, sewing machines, juicers, kitchen sets, crockery and other basic necessities, would be distributed on the day of the Nikah and Walima ceremonies scheduled for 24 April 2026.
The initiative aimed to support financially struggling families and facilitate dignified marriages for deserving brides.
