PIR MAHAL: An oil tanker carrying 40,000 litres of petrol overturned near Pir Mahal on the M-3 motorway after the driver reportedly fell asleep.
No casualties were reported in the incident, according to officials.
A spokesperson for the Central Region said the tanker lost control due to driver fatigue, causing it to overturn on the motorway. Emergency teams responded promptly and secured the area to prevent any potential hazard.
The tanker was travelling from Karachi to Lala Musa at the time of the accident. Authorities confirmed that despite the large quantity of fuel onboard, no loss of life occurred.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing, while officials have urged drivers to ensure adequate rest before long journeys to avoid such accidents.
