KAMBER: A ceremony was held at the SSP Office Kamber on the occasion of Police Martyrs’ Day to pay tribute to the brave personnel of the police force who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
The ceremony was organised on the directives of SSP Kamber Shahdadkot Hassan Sardar Ahmed Khan Niazi, where officials paid homage to the martyrs and remembered their sacrifices.
SSP Kamber Shahdadkot Hassan Sardar Ahmed Khan Niazi, Deputy Commissioner Kamber Shahdadkot Kamran Mushtaq Sheikh, and Chairman District Council Qamaruddin Gopang laid floral wreaths at the Police Martyrs’ Memorial in Kamber Shahdadkot, offered a salute, recited Fateha for the departed souls, and paid rich tribute to the police martyrs.
A Quran Khawani was also held at the SSP Office for the Isal-e-Sawab of the police martyrs, while special prayers were offered for the forgiveness of their sins and elevation of their ranks.
On the instructions of the SSP, photographs of police martyrs were displayed at important locations across the district, including public squares, SDPO offices, Police Headquarters and all police stations.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Kamran Mushtaq Sheikh and Chairman District Council Qamaruddin Gopang said the sacrifices of police martyrs were a debt owed by the nation. They said the peace and security of the country had been ensured through the sacrifices of countless martyrs and that great nations never forgot their heroes.
In his message, SSP Hassan Sardar Ahmed Khan Niazi said police martyrs were a priceless asset of the nation. He said they had sacrificed their lives to maintain peace and law and order in the country.
“We are proud of our martyrs and salute their everlasting sacrifices,” he said.
