LAHORE: Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 11 has officially announced its prize money ahead of the final, with the winning team set to receive $500,000 and the runner-up to get $200,000. The final will be played on Sunday at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore between Peshawar Zalmi and Hyderabad Kings.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed that this is the first time separate prize money has also been allocated for franchises, including $200,000 for the team with the best player development programme and an additional $500,000 special reward for winning players. Peshawar Zalmi, who finished runners-up in 2018, 2019 and 2021, are aiming to secure their first title this season. Fans have been advised to reach the stadium by 6 PM as all tickets have already been sold out.
The final will be preceded by a grand closing ceremony featuring performances by Atif Aslam, Ali Zafar, Arif Lohar, Aima Baig and the Sabri Sisters, along with a fireworks display.
The PCB also announced match officials for the final, with Pakistan’s Ahsan Raza and Christopher Jaffane serving as on-field umpires, Alexander Wharf as third umpire and Asif Yaqoob as fourth umpire. Sri Lanka’s Ranjan Madugalle will act as match referee.
