BAGH: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s adviser on political affairs, Rana Sanaullah, has said those calling for a “countdown” will eventually be “set right” and their countdown will also be put back on track.
Addressing a public gathering in Bagh, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader said the people were the true owners of Pakistan and stressed the close relationship between Pakistan and Kashmir.
He said Kashmiris were working across Pakistan and enjoying their rights, adding that Pakistan could not be considered complete without Kashmir. Rana Sanaullah said no power could weaken the bond between Pakistan and Kashmir, describing the relationship as deep and lasting.
Turning to the upcoming election in Azad Kashmir, he said four PML-N candidates would be elected to the legislative assembly in the vote due to take place in two days. He said the PML-N needed six more seats to secure a two-thirds majority in the Azad Kashmir assembly.
Rana Sanaullah also spoke about the Action Committee, saying many of its members were “our brothers” and patriotic citizens. He called for political differences to be handled peacefully while stressing the importance of maintaining unity and stability in the region.
The remarks come as political parties step up campaigning ahead of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections, with the PML-N seeking to strengthen its position in the assembly.
