KARACHI: Syed Aamir Sajjad, chief executive of Aamir Sajjad Ventures, met American actor and television host Scott Evans during a filming session at Universal Studios Hollywood in Los Angeles, where the two discussed developments in media, entertainment, technology and the creative industries.
During the meeting, Aamir Sajjad briefed Evans on Comic Con Pakistan 2026, which is scheduled to take place on August 14, 2026, at the PC Hotel in Karachi. He said the event aimed to become one of Pakistan’s largest pop culture conventions, bringing together artists, creators, animators, gaming experts and industry professionals from Pakistan and abroad.
He said the convention would feature animation, e-gaming, cosplay, creative arts, emerging technologies, pop culture, comics and a range of interactive competitions. The event also aims to promote Pakistan’s creative industries, provide a platform for young talent and support the country’s growing digital entertainment sector.
After learning about the initiative, Evans welcomed the plans and described the convention as a positive step towards establishing an international-standard pop culture event in Pakistan. He conveyed his best wishes to Aamir Sajjad and his team, expressing confidence that Comic Con Pakistan 2026 would be a success and help project a positive, innovative and modern image of Pakistan to a global audience.
The meeting ended with both sides expressing interest in encouraging future collaboration in the fields of creativity, entertainment and international partnerships.
