
KARACHI: The Sindh cabinet approved Rs6.5 billion for the restoration of roads in Karachi at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.
The chief minister directed that funds be released immediately and that repair work begin without delay, stressing the need to improve road conditions for the public.
A spokesperson said the cabinet also approved Rs2 billion for the city’s S-III project, aimed at improving sewage and water management infrastructure.
In addition, Rs48.9 million was allocated for the digitalisation of the district judicial system to enhance efficiency and case management.
Officials said the decisions reflected the government’s focus on infrastructure development and institutional improvement, with an emphasis on timely implementation and better public service delivery.
