RASHIDABAD: Deaf Reach School, a leading educational and rehabilitation institution based in Rashidabad, has successfully organized a six-day annual training workshop titled “Azm-e-Nao 2026” aimed at strengthening leadership, teaching standards and operational excellence in special education.
The national-level workshop was attended by principals, regional managers, senior officials and team members from Deaf Reach schools and colleges across Pakistan, including representatives from administration, operations, finance, human resources, information technology, engineering and procurement departments.
Participants from Deaf Reach campuses and satellite schools in Karachi, Hyderabad, Rashidabad, Nawabshah, Sukkur, Sujawal, Lahore, Jhelum, Nowshera, Quetta and other cities took part in the training program.
The six-day workshop featured practical sessions on institutional leadership, improving teaching quality, emergency decision-making, modern technology, artificial intelligence (AI), digital tools and Android-based applications.
Speaking at the event, Deaf Reach founders Richard Geary and Heidi Geary, who received the Star of Service award from the Government of Pakistan, said millions of children with hearing and speech impairments across Pakistan still lack access to quality education.
They said Deaf Reach had been working for the past four decades to provide specialized education facilities in underserved areas of the country. The organization’s mission, they added, was not only to establish schools but also to develop skilled teachers, leaders and management teams capable of delivering world-class education and creating better opportunities for children with disabilities.
The organization highlighted that 50 new satellite campuses had been established in underdeveloped areas across Pakistan during the past year. Deaf Reach also announced plans to establish 30 additional satellite campuses by October 2026 as part of its expansion strategy.
